Helping women in Bangladesh become independent.
Satkhira Bazaar and Village Home was established in December 2014 for the purpose of selling exclusively Bangladesh-made products in the United States and Europe.
Our company's primary focus is procuring household items and handicrafts directly from Bangladeshi villages through cooperative and in some cases from the specific individuals. This method of procurement insures that the money for the items does not pass through a series of “middlemen” and the payments go to the artisans that produce the items.
We are a fair trade organization and Bangladesh nonprofit, paying three times living wage.
We also give back to the local community across Bangladesh by supporting, Clinics, Schools and Health Fairs.
